Annotation: The Institute on Violence, Abuse and Trauma (IVAT) works to improve the quality of life and promote violence-free living for individuals on a local, national, and international level by conducting research, sharing and disseminating information, improving networking among professionals, and assisting with program evaluation, consultation, and training. Formed when the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Institute merged with the Alliant International University,the institute promotes collaboration across disciplines and and encorporates many centers that focus on family violence, sexual assault, youth and school violence, workplace volence, violence prevention, and traumatic stress. IVAT publishes a bulletin, journals, and resource lists; and hosts an international conference.

Annotation: The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) provides professionals and the public with information and publications concerning missing children, child molestation, child pornography, and child prostitution. The center sponsors a hotline to assist the public in reporting missing and exploited children and in providing information leading to the location of these children. The center also maintains national statistics and information on the incidence of abductions; conducts a training and technical assistance programs; and provides news bulletins, fact sheets, and other resources for parents and guardians, childcare providers, law enforcement officers, and the media. Materials are available in Spanish, Asian languages, and other languages.

Annotation: The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is a comprehensive collection and distribution center for information, research, and emerging policy on sexual violence intervention and prevention. It provides online library and technical assistance and also coordinates National Sexual Assault Awareness Month initiatives. NSVRC is a project of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) , which advocates for services for all sexual assault victims and works to increase public understanding of sexual violence. Through the coalition, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare funds 52 centers that provide services for adult and child victim/survivors and their families in all Pennsylvania counties. These services include 24-hour hotlines, crisis counseling, education programs for schools and communities, systems advocacy, information and referral, and hospital, police, and court accompaniment. PCAR publishes a catalog and a newsletter and sponsors training seminars and workshops. Some materials are available in Spanish.

Annotation: The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) carries out programs to prevent sexual assault, help victims, and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. RAINN sponsors public awareness events and special projects, and provides statistics, counseling resources, prevention tips, public awareness materials, and legislative news updates. The Network operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE.

Annotation: The Workplaces Respond to Domestic and Sexual Violence: A National Resource Center project offers information on providing effective workplace responses to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. The website provides opportunities to interact with a virtual employee, create a workplace policy, learn about the cost of sexual violence, and identify security concerns. Topics include workplace violence, guns and the workplace, protection orders, and union responses. Funded by the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women, the Workplaces Respond project is a partnership of the Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF), Legal Momentum, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and its National Sexual Violence Resource Center, Resource Sharing Project of the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault, American Bar Association Commission on Domestic Violence, Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence, and Victim Rights Law Center.
