Annotation: The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) supports research designed to improve the quality of health care, reduce its cost, and broaden access to essential services. AHRQ supports the National Guideline Clearinghouse, a public resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines; the National Quality Measures Clearinghouse, a public resource for evidence-based quality measures and measure sets; the Patient Safety Network, a collection of patient safety news, literature, tools, and resources; and the Effective Health Care Program, a collection of research centers working to provide evidence on health care interventions.

Annotation: The Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP), a division of the American Psychological Association, promotes the general objectives of the American Psychological Association and encourages the evolution and development of the specialty of clinical child and adolescent psychology in both its scientific and professional aspects. SCCAP also seeks to advance scientific inquiry, training, and professional practice in clinical child and adolescent psychology as a means of furthering knowledge, welfare, and mental health of children, youth, and families. SCCAP's evidence-based treatment Web site, located at http://www.effectivechildtherapy.com/, provides up-to-date information on various psychological disorders along with scientifically-evaluated treatment methods.

Annotation: The University of Alabama at Birmingham's (UAB) Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research and Education (COERE) is a university-wide, interdisciplinary research center sponsored by the Schools of Business, Dentistry, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, Optometry, Public Health, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. COERE builds and maintains a program of research targeted at improving the quality and outcomes of health care by bringing together clinical, biomedical, quantitative, behavioral, and social sciences researchers.
