Southeastern Regional Genetics Group (SERGG)

Annotation: The Southeastern Regional Genetics Group (SERGG) is a network of providers of clinical genetic services, public health departments, consumers, and related laboratory services working together with affected individuals and their families. SERGG collects and disseminates information about genetic services, newborn screening programs, and other public health services related to genetics in the region, and supports research to promote better genetic services. The Group works to enhance the quality of genetic services in the Southeastern Region which includes the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands and to provide a forum for exchange of information among professionals who provide genetic services and the consumers of these services in the southeastern region of the United States.

Tennessee Department of Health, Health Statistics and Research (HSR)

Annotation: The Tennessee Department of Health's Health Statistics and Research (HSR) collects, computerizes, analyzes, and disseminates health statistics data related to vital events (e.g. births, deaths, fetal deaths), health care facilities, birth defects, ambulance run reports, the Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES) and hospital discharge. Staff members respond to requests for health-related and demographic information and provide a variety of technical and statistical assistance. Publications include statistical reports and quarterly newsletters. The office also coopeerates in a companion Web site, Health Information Tennessee, which provides interactive access to vital statistics, manpower, facilities, survey and other data collected by the Tennessee Department of Health. Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference

Annotation: The Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference was created by the General Assembly in 1961 to provide for a more prompt and efficient administration of justice in the courts of this state. It is the sponsor of the What's the Rush: Don't be a Teen Parent campaign aimed at raising awareness of the legal, financial and social consequences of becoming a teen parent.
