Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America

Annotation: The Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America collects manuscripts, books, and photographic and audiovisual materials essential for understanding women's lives and activities in the United States. Core manuscript holdings cover the women's rights movements past and present, feminism, health and sexuality, social reform, and the education of women and girls. Book topics include women’s rights, women and work, women’s health, women of color, comparative material about women in other cultures, works on women in the arts and in music, women and family, feminist and anti-feminist theory, and lesbian writings. Periodical titles, including popular magazines such as Ladies' Home Journal, Ebony, Seventeen, highlight domestic concerns, leisure pursuits, etiquette, fashion, and food.

Minority Health and Health Equity Archive

Annotation: The Minority Health and Health Equity Archive is an electronic archive for digital resource materials in the fields of minority health and health disparities research and policy. It is offered as a no-charge resource to the public, academic scholars and health science researchers interested in the elimination of racial and ethnic health disparities. The goal of the archive is to advance the use of new digital technologies to promote trans-disciplinary scholarship on race, ethnicity and disparities research designed to achieve health equity. The archive aims to help facilitate the rapid dissemination of new work in the professional literature as well as the gray literature including, but not limited to, historical documents, government resources, teaching tools and commentary. It is sponsored by the Maryland Center for Health Equity, School of Public Health, University of Maryland College Park and by the University Library System, University of Pittsburgh

National Library for Public Health

Annotation: The National Library for Public Health provides access to the public health evidence base by providing access to guidelines, strategies, policies, systematic reviews, and news and events of note to the wider public health workforce. It is developed by the North East Public Health Observatory on behalf of the Association of Public Health Observatories. It replaces the Public Health Electronic Library (PHeL).

University of Iowa Health Care, Center for Disabilities and Development

Annotation: The Center for Disabilities and Development is a resource for people with disabilities or special needs. The center was originally created in 1947 and is designated as Iowa's University Center for Excellence on Disabilities. It serves as a resource for medical care and related services, training, research, and information sharing. In addition to serving people from Iowa, the center also serves as a resource for people from neighboring states and beyond.
