Annotation: The Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children's Media (Ele) is a program at Saint Vincent College to advance the fields of early learning and children’s media by acting as a catalyst for communication, collaboration, and creative change. The website provides information, media-based activities, and social networking opportunities to help educators, families, and others support the healthy social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of young children. Media types include books, videos, games, songs, interactive tools, and mobile. Information about content partners is included.

National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Community Health (DCH)

Annotation: The Division of Community Health (DCH) is one of nine divisions within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. DCH promotes sustainable community action to improve health and achieve health equity through four core programs: Communities Putting Prevention to Work, Community Transformation Grants, Healthy Communities Program, and Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health. DCH also hosts a searchable database of practice-based tools that support environmental improvements in communities to prevent disease and promote healthy living. Resources include webinars, toolkits, guides, fact sheets, and other materials. The Community Health Media Center is an online repository of advertisements and marketing materials about preventing obesity and chronic conditions. Its purpose is to share best practices, audience research, and communication materials.

National Information Center for Education Media

ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation (ThinkFirst)

Annotation: ThinkFirst National Injury Prevention Foundation works to prevent brain, spinal cord, and other traumatic injuries through education, research, and advocacy. The foundation offers theory-based, evidence-based injury prevention programs for children, adolescents, and young adults; presentations through a chapter network; injury prevention facts; educational materials and resources; training for physicians and other health professionals; and speaker, volunteer, and support opportunities.
