American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN)

Annotation: The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) is the association of professional nurses and associates who identify ambulatory care practice as essential to the continuum of high quality, cost-effective health care Their publications include ambulatory and telehealth standards, a Telehealth Nursing Practice Core Course, Guide to Ambulatory Competencies, an Annotated Staffing Bibliography, and Telehealth Resource Directory. Members receive a bi-monthly newsletter and choice of journals. AAACN holds an annual conference annually, usually in March or April.

Mobile Health Clinics Association

Annotation: The Mobile Healthcare Association serves its members by facilitating educational opportunities and long-term networking alliances to strengthen members’ capacities, support industry excellence, and promote mobile health clinics’ important work and contributions. Its membership is comprised of a network of professionals in all specialties who share best practices and resources for the betterment of the field and the people they serve.

Sealants for Smiles

Annotation: Sealants for Smiles provides free school based oral health education and dental sealants to children in need in Utah. Through a network of volunteer and paid oral health professionals, Sealants for Smiles provides oral health assessments and application of dental sealants and fluoride varnish to children who cannot access or afford oral health care. The program serves children in portable dental units set up within elementary schools.

Tooth Mobile

Annotation: Tooth Mobile is a non-profit organization that works to prevent oral disease; increase access to affordable, comprehensive oral health care; and increase awareness of oral health issues by providing mobile oral health care and preventive oral hygiene education in schools and in the community. Tooth Mobile collaborates with California-based oral health coalitions; community health centers and schools; and Denti-Cal, Healthy Families, California Migrant Education, and other statewide programs for families with low incomes. The organization provides history, application, and consent forms in English, Korean, and Spanish.
