Older Women's League (OWL)

Annotation: The Older Women's League (OWL) is a grassroots national membership organization that advocates for social and economic equity for midlife and older women. It provides policy papers, reports, testimony, state model bills, and action kits on various aspects of older women's health needs. The league is a convener of the Campaign for Women's Health, which brings together more than 80 national women's organizations to speak out on women's health needs, monitor national legislation, and conduct community activities. Additionally, it has developed the Caregiving: First Line of Defense project. Caregiving provides a link between health professionals and caregivers and focuses national attention on the needs of caregivers. The project helps caregivers get the most out of their relationship with health professionals. Publications include a newsletter.
