9to5, National Association of Working Women (9to5)

Annotation: 9 to 5 is a nationwide membership association of women office workers established in 1973 that promotes fair pay, career advancement, safer office automation, parental leaves and pensions, job dignity, and other issues of importance to working women. The association currently has 25 chapters and sponsors a summer conference, workshops, and seminars. 9 to 5 operates a toll-free Job Problems Hotline, (800) 522-0925, and publishes a newsletter, 9 to 5 Newsline, five times a year.

Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI)

Annotation: The Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) is a nonpartisan public policy research organization that provides educational and research materials on employee benefits, including maternity benefits. EBRI serves employers, employees, retired workers, public officials, the media, and the public as they address health, welfare, and retirement issues. EBRI provides consumers with referrals, publications, and reference information. EBRI also sponsors policy forums and publishes a newsletter and issue briefs.

University of Wisconsin-Madison Women's Studies Research Center (WSRC)

Annotation: The Women's Studies Research Center (WSRC) fosters research related to women in all disciplines from a feminist perspective. It encourages the entry of women scholars into all fields of research, the development of new information on the circumstances and contributions of women in any field, and the development of theory which takes account of the significance of gender. The Center's publications include a newsletter, e-mail bulletins, reprints, working papers and proceedings. WSRC sponsors conferences, training seminars, and workshops, and maintains a listserv for faculty and students.
