Maine Children's Alliance

Annotation: The Maine Children’s Alliance (MCA) advocates for sound public policies that improve the lives of all Maine's children, youth and families. MCA provides Maine with reliable, consistent data with the Maine KIDS COUNTproject.

Maine Dental Access Coalition

Annotation: The Maine Dental Access Coalition (MDAC) is a public-private partnership focused on improving access to oral health care. It convened in June 1997 as a collaboration between Maine's Oral Health Program (OHP) and the Maine Children's Alliance, a children's advocacy organization. The MDAC strategy is to engage state government, health care providers, community agencies, and consumers to work together to achieve a system that maximizes resources, respects the needs of all, and allows timely access to quality services that meet the unique oral health needs of all Maine people.

Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation

Annotation: Maine's Department of Professional and Financial Regulation protects the citizens of Maine through the regulation of state-chartered financial institutions, the insurance industry, grantors of consumer credit, the securities industry, and numerous professions and occupations providing services to the public. The department conducts licensing, examining, and auditing activities conducts programs aimed at increasing voluntary compliance with state laws; investigates possible violations of law; and undertakes enforcement actions. The department responds to consumer complaints and requests for information and conducts educational and outreach programs to make consumers aware of their rights under Maine laws.

Maine State Library (MSL)

MaineGeneral Health

Annotation: MaineGeneral Health is a comprehensive non-profit system with the mission of enhancing, every day, the health of their patients, families and communities. They provide a range of health care services for people of all ages, in a variety of care settings, focusing on clinical excellence, patient and family experience and financial stability. It includes medical centers, cancer treatment, physician practices, nursing homes, specialized rehabilitation, mental health and substance use disorder services, home health care and hospice services, special care for patients with memory loss, and community outreach programs. They serve the Kennebec Valley region.

New England Genetics Collaborative (NEGC )

Annotation: The New England Genetics Collaborative (NEGC) works to promote and improve the health and social well-being of those with inherited conditions through collaborations among public health professionals, private health professionals, educators, consumers and advocates in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. The primary goal of the NEGC is to assure that individuals with genetic disorders and their families have access to quality care and appropriate genetic expertise and information in the context of a medical home that provides accessible, family-centered, continuous, comprehensive, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective care. NEGC provides online educational materials, a regional resource directory, and links to other genetics centers. The NEGC is a partnership between the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice, and the University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability. The collaborative is supported by a cooperative agreement with the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Genetic Services Branch.
