National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health

Annotation: The National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness America supports the development of a public health infrastructure to promote and ensure a comprehensive, multi-tiered continuum of vision care and eye health for young children. The center serves as a central resource for health promotion and leadership development. It is also a resource for education and training on children's vision and eye health for public and private entities throughout the United States. Resources include vision screening device review, fact sheets on children's vision and access to eye care, and information on state school vision requirements. It is funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.

National Sjogren's Syndrome Association (NSSA)

Annotation: The National Sjogren's Syndrome Association (NSSA) offers education and support to people with Sjogren's syndrome, their families, and concerned health care providers. Publications include the Sjogren's Digest and the Patient Education Series. NSSA sponsors conferences and publishes a newsletter.

VISION Community Services

Annotation: VISION Community Services, previously known as the VISION Foundation, is a private, nonprofit consumer-based organization that provides self-help programs and referral services for people who are visually impaired or newly blind or who have progressively degenerative eye diseases. The organization is a division of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and maintains an information center, a digital recording studio and braille transcript program, an elderly outreach program, self-help support groups, and a buddy telephone system (in Massachusetts only). Publications include a newsletter and the Vision Resource List . Some materials are available in Spanish.
