Alliance for Work / Life Progress (AWLP)

Annotation: The Alliance for Work / Life Progress (AWLP) is a membership organization that strives to promote the professionalism of those working in the work-life arena and to influence better integration of work and family life. Services to members include publications; an annual conference; training seminars; a bimonthly newsletter; regional events; referrals and networking; insurance; subscription discounts; and professional involvement. The Web site includes a directory of local work-life groups. AWLP was founded as the Alliance for Work / Life Professionals and the name was changed in 2003.

Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS)

Annotation: The Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the business community reduce the incidence and costs associated with motor vehicle crashes. NETS provides strategic planning and technical assistance for statewide coordinated employer programs. NETS assists employers in implementing policies, instituting on-site employee programs and conducting community activities that focus on highway safety issues affecting employers' costs. Seminars cover topics such as policies about drunk and drugged driving and safety belt use, and awareness programs designed to foster policy compliance. Services to consumers include referrals, publications and reference information. The organization publishes a newsletter.
