The organization was formed in 1973 on the principle that it is every child's right to be a permanent member of a supportive family. Annotation: The Center on Children and the Law is a program of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division. Founded in 1978, the center works to improve the quality of life for children through advancements in law, justice, and public policy.
