Annotation: This report is part of a series of reports on adolescent pregnancy prevention that Children's Defense Fund's (CDF) Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Clearinghouse has produced as part of an effort to keep those working on the many components of this problem aware of issues and developments in the field. A history of CDF's teen pregnancy activities and the steps that CDF recommends to address that problem are discussed. The report focuses on the reproductive and marriage behaviors of teens including a list of basic terms used to describe those behaviors. Goals and trends for addressing the problem are also discussed. Racial and ethnic differences, poverty, adolescent males' reproductive behavior, and geographic differences that provide further understanding of the problem of teenage pregnancy are addressed as well. The report combines narrative and statistical data in addressing these topics.
