Annotation: This report presents epidemiological data about health behaviors among adolescents in the Caribbean and the multisectoral efforts made by governments, researchers, and programmers in favor of adolescent development. It also highlights adolescent needs as stated by the adolescents themselves, as well as adolescent-led projects. The report is a synthesis of survey data from nine countries: Antigua, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, and St. Lucia.

Annotation: This manual details the policies and procedures of the Maternal and Child Health and Children with Special Health Care Needs Program in the Virgin Islands. The manual includes the following: administration, roles, and responsibilities; service delivery process; information management and evaluation; and definitions of terms. The manual was developed as a technical assistance project offered by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau. Appendices include organizational charts, sliding fee scale information, classification specifications for administrative staff, interagency agreements, classifications and standards for health care professionals, standard medical record forms, protocols for tuberculin screens and hepatitis B vaccinations, billing and social work forms, prenatal risk criteria, home visit protocols, sickle hemoglobinopathy clinic protocols, data system flow charts, and nursing quality assurance indicators. Annotation: This booklet describes the cooking and meal habits of residents of the Virgin Islands, including how a wide variety of foods are made. The words for songs that describe foods are included. Also included are points that are commendable and points that need attention in local food habits. The booklet lists local foods that are available by season, discusses major food groups, gives a master food plan for one adult, and describes nutrition education programs that have been developed for the community.
