Hendricks HA. 1937. Survey of health and social needs of Indian children. [Washington, DC]: U.S. Children's Bureau, 89 pp.

Annotation: This study presents material gathered in a brief survey of seven states where the Native American population is large and where social workers are employed by the Indian Service. The states included are Oklahoma, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. In each state officials representing the educational health, and welfare services of the state, as well as the field staff of the United States Office of Indian Affairs, were consulted about Native American problems and the services available to this group.
