Annotation: This website describes nurtur, a digital health platform that uses artificial intelligence to predict and prevent postpartum depression in mothers. The platform works with Ob/Gyns to identify at-risk patients early in pregnancy and provides personalized self-guided therapy and ongoing support throughout the pregnancy journey. Using a three-phase approach across trimesters—discovery, prevention, and engagement—nurtur offers tools that have been proven to prevent over 50% of postpartum depression cases. The platform features a collaborative care model that integrates primary care providers, behavioral care managers, and psychiatric consultants, while being reimbursable through health insurance. In beta testing as of April 2025.

Streissgut A. 1987. Prenatal Aspirin and Acetaminophen: 7-Year Follow-Up [Final report]. Seattle, WA: University of Washington,

Annotation: The purpose of this study was to examine the long-term effects of prenatal exposure to aspirin and acetaminophen using three measures of outcome in seven-year-old children: Attentional parameters; IQ scores; and height, weight, and head circumference. The study followed 531 first-born singletons whose mothers had been interviewed prenatally in 1974/75. Among the findings were: (1) Prenatal acetaminophen exposure was not significantly associated with attention, IQ score, weight, or head circumference but it was significantly associated with offspring height at seven years; and (2) prenatal aspirin exposure was associated with significantly poorer attention and lower IQ scores, but not with decrements in height, weight, or head circumference. Annotation: This volume reports a multidisciplinary, longitudinal study of the precursors of intelligence, as measured by Stanford-Binet IQ scores, of 4-year-old children. Considered are the degree to which events during pregnancy and delivery, physical and psychomotor development in infancy and childhood, and certain major family characteristics were related to IQ scores. The book challenges the assertion that IQ is largely heritable.
