Annotation: The purpose of this guide is to offer an aid to American Dietetic Association members for developing their own individual plan for practice, unique to their specific needs and setting. Section one addresses the standards of practice for the profession of dietetics. Section two discusses the standards and their implementation. Section three is a worksheet for drafting a plan for professional practice. Appendices provide operational definitions, sample criteria sets, references used in the development of the standards, a quality assurance bibliography, and standards of professional responsibility of the American Dietetic Association.
