New! Digitization
Project
The
MCH Library has digitized its Children's Bureau Collection, approximately 450 items
published by the Children's Bureau
between 1912 and 1969 and several additional
items that discuss the history of the
Children's Bureau, ranging from brochures
to short reports to bound volumes. The
MCH Library currently contains these
items in hard copy. These items can be
identified by searching in the sidebar
search window or in the Advanced Search
page using the phrase "Children's
Bureau" (with quotation marks).

Archives and Records Administration. The finding aid for this collection, The
Children's Bureau: Documentary sources from the National Archives (Alexandria,

microfilm and provides author, title, date, and sometimes source of the material. Types
of materials include reports, articles, conference
materials, addresses and speeches, government
documents, memoranda, drafts, and other documents. The
aid is divided into six parts: child welfare,
child legislation, Children's Bureau history,
MCH, Children's Bureau Merritt files, and
Children's Bureau chief's
files. There is no subject index.
