Annotation: This information packet was developed for parents and other adults who work with children and adolescents; it was developed by the Centers for Disease Control as part of the "America Responds to AIDS" series. Fact sheets for adults provide information about HIV infection, methods of transmission, and AIDS. Suggestions for talking to young people on the topic of HIV/AIDS and deciding what to tell them are included, as well as answers to questions that children and adolescents often ask about HIV/AIDS. Handouts for young people give age-appropriate information about HIV infection and AIDS, information about joining the community response to AIDS, and suggestions for obtaining further information and assistance.
