Designing More Effective Title V MCH/Medicaid Interagency Agreements: A Technical Assistance Opportunity for State Programs
![]() |
The MCH Library at Georgetown University, in partnership with Johnson Group Consulting and with support from MCHB, has developed a free technical assistance program to help States draft effective Title V and Title XIX interagency agreements (IAAs). All State Title V MCH programs are eligible for the free TA. The TA is guided by State experiences and is based on the publication State MCH-Medicaid Coordination: A Review of Title V and Title XIX Interagency Agreements, 2nd edition. Your State may wish to use the TA to revise an existing document or develop a new IAA. State agencies select the individuals to participate on their teams, and those teams receive both telephone and written consultation during the TA. |
Technical Assistance
TA will include:
- A review of your State’s current IAA by TA faculty.
- An initial consultation between State MCH/Title V personnel and TA faculty to set priorities.
- A review by TA faculty of best practices that can be applied to your State’s IAA.
- The drafting of a template by TA faculty for your State to use as the basis of your State’s IAA.
- A final consultation to review the IAA in detail, answer questions, and finalize State-specific details.
